On June 22 and 23, 2018, the first Transilvania Blues Festival took place in Brașov. Two blues evenings with bands from Italy, Germany and Brașov. In the mix: classic blues, acoustic blues, stoner blues & rockabilly blues.
Friday June 22, DeadMan’s Blues Fuckers, Milanese heavy blues duo. DIY instruments and bushy beards, and a mix of heavy rock, stoner vibes and, a lot of primitive electric blues. The atmosphere calmed down a bit in the middle of the evening, when Diego Potron took the stage, a one-man blues show with a special feeling and repertoire. Friday night ended with GorillaPulp, an Italian band that originally fuse blues with stoner sounds and heavy metal from the 70s, creating a mixture of Heavy Blues and Stoner Rock.

Saturday June 23 was the moment of the local blues moment with Cyfer Trio, the current project of Călin Cyfer, one of the most appreciated guitarists of the Blues Rock scene in Romania. Călin was accompanied on stage by Darius Neagu (drums) and Kerezsi Csongor (bass).
The headliners of Transilvania Blues Festival were the Germans from BB and the Blue Shacks, one of the best blues bands in Germany. With more than 4000 active concerts and 13 albums under their belt, they are a band with a solid international reputation, playing successfully at some of the most important blues festivals in the world. Rockabilly Blues par excellence, a perfect ending to the two days of the festival.
