Transilvania Blues Festival reaches its fourth edition this year! We’re coming back on September 30 – October 1 with premieres and exclusivities in Romania and Brașov!
In the two evenings of the festival in the Rockstadt club, our faithful host, important artists of the genre will perform for the first time.
In addition to international artists, we also want to promote Romanian genre bands, already established local and domestic artists as well as debutante musicians, so the first part of the first evening – Friday, September 30 – is dedicated to our Brasov friends from Fernet Blues Company. In the second part of the evening, the American-French band Boney Fields will follow, for the first time in our country: seven virtuoso musicians, led by the Chicago-born trumpeter Boney Fields. It will be Blues, Jazz and Funk at maximum intensity, with an air and atmosphere of James Brown, Motown and Prince.
On the second day of the festival, Saturday October 1, another Romanian band (Watzzy, also from Brașov, a fabulous guitarist with an electric show and a lot of aplomb, one of the Romanian musicians on the rise) will introduce the Blues Caravan concert, for the first time in Romania and in Brașov. The Blues Caravan project is a unique, itinerant European project with young and promising American artists, of whom you will surely hear more. This year the Blues Caravan has three recitals, 2 female appearances, Ghalia Volt and Katie Henry and guitarist Will Jacobs.
During the two days of the festival we will also organize a vinyl fair, blues book launch and a special workshop on the music festival industry.
The event is organized by the Transilvania Arts & Events Association and co-financed by Braşov City Hall.
